Nicola Simcock, Little Chestnuts Pre-school Manager

I am a dedicated and committed Early Years trained teacher. After completing my EYFS degree and teacher training certificate I have gained lots of experience serving many children, their families and communities. I have been very fortunate to have worked alongside some inspiring Early Years organisations and professionals which has helped me to develop a strong philosophy which I look forward to sharing with Little Chestnuts.

My most memorable moments in teaching are seeing the children in my care learn new skills. That may be sharing with a friend, climbing to the top of the climbing frame or realising that they can actually put on their coat for the first time!

I have had a love of horses from a young age and am a keen rider. I volunteer at a riding stables where part of my role is to support children with disabilities during their riding lessons. In addition, I have a huge love of literature. My most cherished poems (amongst many) are ‘If’ by Rudyard Kipling and ‘Daffodils’ by William Wordsworth.
